Tools for Successful Advocacy

Public Policy Resource Library

The AACI Public Policy Resource Library is the presidential initiative of Dr. Roy A. Jensen, AACI president and director of The University of Kansas Cancer Center. The concept was inspired by the successful advocacy efforts of Dr. Jensen, his colleagues at KU Cancer Center, and other partners as they work to promote sound public health policy at the state and local level. AACI’s Public Policy Resource Library will enable cancer centers and others in the cancer advocacy community to share resources—including talking points and legislation enacted across the U.S.—to foster collaboration, promote cancer prevention, and spur the development of policies that will improve the lives of Americans through lowered cancer incidence and mortality.

Federal Legislation Tracker

The Legislation Tracker provides the latest information on not only what is happening with a particular bill in Congress, but also tracks efforts by AACI and likeminded organizations to advance the legislation. All featured bills are endorsed by AACI’s Board of Directors. The legislation tracker is maintained by AACI staff to offer real-time updates on co-sponsorship numbers, committee activity, and more.
